Ubsnantは、空間・建築・彫刻・プロダクト・写真・映像などを一貫して創作する総合芸術を謳っています。建築デザイナーのアラタスズキ、写真家の鈴木智沙子、彫刻家の星飛鳥によって2024年3月に設立されました。

私たちは、最古の総合芸術の一つである茶道に大きな影響を受けています。「花は野にあるように」というタイトルは、茶道における「利休七則」の一つで、「花は野にあるように、一輪であったとしてもその姿を見て、野に咲く花の様子を想起させることが大切である」ことを意味します。

翻って現代に目を向けると、過剰なグローバリズムが地球を丸呑みにしようとしており、世界各地で「地球の原風景」と呼べるような、郷愁を感じる景色が失われつつあります。

そんな世界に対して、都市や現代的な生活様式の中であっても、「地球の原風景」を取り戻し、郷愁を感じることができるような作品を展示します。

立体作品はそれぞれ「空間什器（Spatial Piece）」と名付け、「あるべき地球の姿」を身体で感じることができる空間を提案します。

Ubsnant claims to be a comprehensive art collective that consistently creates space, architecture, sculpture, products, photography and video. It was established in March 2024 by architectural designer Arata Suzuki, photographer Chisako Suzuki and sculptor Asuka Hoshi.

The Japanese tea ceremony, one of the oldest comprehensive arts, dramatically influences us. The title Flowers as They Are in a Field is one of Rikyu’s Seven Rules of the Japanese Tea Ceremony, which means: ‘As flowers are in the field, even a single flower should remind us of the appearance of flowers blooming in the field’.

On reflection, excessive globalism today threatens to swallow the planet whole, and many parts of the world are losing nostalgic landscapes.

In response to a world where nostalgic landscapes are being lost, this exhibition will present artworks that will not only bring back the original landscapes of the Earth but also evoke a deep sense of nostalgia, even amid cities and modern lifestyles.

Each sculpture is named a Spatial Piece, and we propose a space where visitors can physically feel the ideal image of the Earth.

Flowers as they are in a field, materials as they are in a place of origin, and people as they are in their native land, based on the respective Ubusuna (spirits of land). We invite you to be a part of this journey, hoping that the original landscapes of the Earth, which are being lost, will coexist with your lives.
